STEMA / MATERIALS
Material guide
Indicative chemical resistance of industrial sealing material families.
PU is shown in two variants: polyester-based and polyether-based polyurethane. Their resistance assessments differ, so they have separate rows.

This is an indicative family comparison, not a compound approval. Temperature limits are general family ranges, not continuous service ratings for every medium. FFKM short-term heat tests are described separately in its datasheet. Concentration, temperature, pressure, exposure and compound can change suitability. Ozone exposure differs from compressed-air service; assess lubrication, motion and temperature separately. PTFE is not an elastomer. Confirm the exact grade and conditions for critical applications.
